Arctic Zero Review
I definitely have a sweet tooth, and ice cream is by far my favorite indulgence. I can't keep it in the house, because neither my husband nor I have any self control when it comes to this particular sweet treat.
Arctic Zero is a company created for people like me; ice cream lovers who could do without all the extra fat and sugar in their dessert of choice.
Arctic Zero is an all natural frozen dessert that is gluten free, suitable for lactose intolerances, and low glycemic. The best part is it only has 150 calories per pint! They keep the calories so low by using a mixture of monk fruit (one of the sweetest melons in the world) and organic cane sugar.
Arctic Zero Review
The first thing I will say is Arctic Zero is not ice cream, and you will be disappointed if expect it to taste that way. This does not mean I didn't enjoy this frozen treat. I found several of the Arctic Zero flavors to be exceptionally good (chocolate, strawberry, and mint chocolate cookie were my favorites). The texture is more firm and less creamy then ice cream; the chocolate flavor reminded me of a frozen protein shake.
I was most impressed by the ingredients. Here, for example, are the ingredients of strawberry Arctic Zero:
- purified water
- whey protein concentrate
- organic cane sugar
- chicory root
- strawberries
- guar gum
- xanthan gum
- natural flavors
- beet juice concentrate
- citric acid
- sea salt
- monk fruit concentrate
All natural and no fat – pretty healthy I'd say. Overall, I think this is a great treat for people who are concerned about calories yet still crave a tasty, frozen dessert.
