I was surprised to find out that it takes up to 920 gallons of water and harmful chemicals to prepare the denim used to make every pair of blue jeans. I found this pretty shocking and unacceptable. Apparently hello! SkinnyJeans felt the same way; they set out to find a more eco-friendly way to produce their popular skinny jeans.
hello! SkinnyJeans worked for a year developing their new line, called GreenJeans, which uses an “air wash” process to finish the denim. This eliminates the need for the chemicals and uses only small amounts of water.
Another bonus of the GreenJeans is their strategic use of light and dark washes to create a slim and flattering look.
I haven’t had the opportunity to try these jeans yet, but I am very intrigued by both their cleaner manufacturing process and their gorgeous look. One lucky Let’s Win! reader will receive a pair of GreenJeans to try for herself.
