The Fever Mid-Rise Bell Bottom from Genetic Denim has the simple, sophisticated style I love. The dark wash is flattering and the denim is so soft and comfortable.

Fit:

The Fever comes in sizes 23 to 29 (I am wearing the 28), and fits true to size. They have a 35″ inseam, which is very long. In this picture, I had already hemmed them 2.5″ and was wearing 3″ heals.

This is the classic bell bottom; fitted through the thighs all the way to the knees before flaring.

The rise is perfect. Sitting a few inches below the belly button, they are high enough that you can bend over without worry yet are still flattering. The best part, I had no waistband gap!

Material:

The denim is thin and so soft. They are very easy to wear and stay fairly wrinkle free. I love the deep indigo shade and the slight fading on the thighs.

Cost:

Jeans from Genetic Denim are definitely “investment pieces.”  The quality is superb, and you pay for it; at around $200 a pair, they are expensive.

Sunsets Swimwear was founded in 1984 and featured swimwear separates women could mix and match to fit their style and size preferences. Back when the company began, this was an uncommon luxury.

I was impressed with Sunsets’ large selection of classic swim tops and bottoms; they have 33 designs in over 20 colorful prints and solids. I chose the 39B Swim Skirt with the 81T Power Pad Tankini (pictured on the right below).

While the ability to build a custom swimsuit is awesome, my favorite aspect of this swimwear line is the sizing. Finding a good fit in a swimsuit is such a frustrating experience, especially ordering online. When picking my size, I wasn’t thinking and ordered the size I always wear in clothing, medium. Well, I forgot that swimsuit sizes are consistently small. I was excited when it arrived and fit! It is so rare to find a swimwear company that fits true to size.

The swimskirt is very cute in person. It’s short but covers everything it needs to and comes with a built-in swimpant.

The top fit well and had a nice amount of padding. I do wish this tankini didn’t flair out around the bottom; it would be more flattering if it was fitted.

A pair of neutral heels are one of those special wardrobe pieces. They go with anything in your closet, elongate your legs and are always in style.

Neuaura offer stylish, animal free and eco-friendly shoes. They have some great designs as well. The Elm was just what I  was looking for: classic, pointy-toed heels.

I choose the Elm in natural, a dark Khaki color. They appear to be leather (actually Polyurethane) and are beautiful in person. The 3 inch heel is an easy to wear height. My only complaint is the sole needs more traction, it’s too slippery.

These heels could go with anything, but for this picture I chose my “go to” piece, the white pencil skirt.

Fit

Fit is always tricky when buying shoes or clothes online, so here is some helpful information:

1. Order a half size up. When choosing my size, I was advised to order a 10 instead of my usual 9.5.

2. I would say the Elm is a medium width shoe. I often have a problem with pointy-toed heels being to narrow. I was excited that these fit well, especially after wearing them around a bit.

Meringue Clothing is a fashion company featuring a collection of women’s shoe, clothing and accessory lines. Much of the clothing they carry is casual and relaxed in style.

I received the beautiful Wrap Tee from Sanctuary. Whether dresses or shirts, I love the wrap look. It is so flattering on virtually every women. This Wrap Tee is very soft and comfortable to wear (100% Rayon), and the mulberry color is gorgeous. In the second picture, you can see the lovely lace detail on the shoulders.

I have one main complaint with this top, the wrap constantly falls open. Pairing with a belt helps or you could always wear an undershirt.

The Wrap Tee from Sanctuary is a great addition to my wardrobe; it’s comfortable, well-made, and versatile.

Having attractive, functional exercise clothing is a great motivator. Not only does it make you feel more confident, but it’s practical as well. It’s hard to perfect that downward facing dog if your t-shirt has slipped over your face.

Review

I choose the Aquila top in Indigo and the Stance pant in black.

The Aquila top is very cute, and I love the rich indigo color. The key hole back adds interest and is great for cooling. It is hard to tell in the pictures, but there are zebra printed, perforated panels along the front and back to aid in ventilation and moisture wicking. Also, scalloped, reflective piping along the shoulders and back is great for visibility at night.

As for sizing, I ordered my normal size and the fit was a little looser, especially in the shoulders, then I expected.

The Stance capri is comfortable to wear and fits true to size. The fabric is designed to wick away moisture and dry quickly. In addition, there is a convenient zippered pocket in the back and a reflective MPG logo on the calf.

Review

I choose the long sleeve scoopneck tee in eggplant, a deep purple. The fabric is thicker then I had imagined, I assume to aid the slimming effect.  This long sleeve tee would be great for layering because it is very form fitting, has a long length, and lays smooth.

The deep color is so gorgeous, I decide to dress up my Skinny Tee with a double strand pearl necklace and pearl studs. This is definitely a versatile piece; I could have easily gone a more casual route.
