CSN Review
When I was recently given the opportunity to do a review for CSN stores, I was excited but didn’t know what to choose. With their large selection of products; how could I pick just one thing? My husband didn’t suffer from the same indecision, however. He wanted an ice cream maker. Sounded good to me! We decided on the Cuisinart Pure Indulgence 2 Qt. Frozen Yogurt-Sorbet & Ice Cream Maker.
Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker
The last time I saw an ice cream maker it was old, wooden and had a hand crank, so this Cuisnart was far superior.
For our first ice cream making attempt, we looked through the recipe book that was included and decided to make the chocolate.
The first step is to freeze the insulated freezer bowl (included) for 6 – 22 hours.
Next we gathered these simple ingredients
: milk, sugar, cocoa powder, half and half, and brown sugar.
We mixed all ingredients in a pitcher (to make it easy to pour in the machine). Once the sugars were dissolved we placed the freezer bowl and mixing paddle inside the ice cream maker and turned it on. Slowly, we poured in the chocolate mixture.
That’s it! 25 minutes later we had chocolate ice cream. Because we made the healthier version with 2% milk and half and half instead of whole milk and cream, it was less creamy then commercial ice cream, but the flavor was terrific.
Overall, shopping with CSN Stores was easy and the shipping was quick. My husband and I love our ice cream maker.
