In response to the growing concern over the sun’s effects on our skin, Fake Bake has created a line of self tanners that allow everyone to achieve a realistic tan without putting your health at risk.
I have tried many self tanners. They come in a variety of forms: lotion, gel, or spray. The biggest problem I have with all three types is uneven coverage, and the tell-tale “streaks.” What I really like about the Fake Bake Flawless tanner is the applicator mitt, which greatly reduces uneven coverage. The Flawless tanner comes in a spray bottle. You spray the solution onto the mitt and then rub it into your skin. The results are instant, so you can see exactly where you have applied the tanner. I love this; it is so much easier to avoid streaks. The morning after application, I had only a small uneven area on my ankle. This is a great improvement over other tanners I’ve tried. Overall, my resulting tan was very believable.
Obviously, a natural tanned look is most important when choosing a self tanner, but another aspect to consider is the smell. My husband always knows when I have applied self tanner, and not because it looks great. He can smell it. Anyone who has ever used a self tanner knows what I’m talking about. So how does Flawless smell? Let me just say that my husband didn’t notice.
Price: $24 for 6 ounces.
